Jackie Abell
Professor Abell has research interests in discursive psychology (conversation analysis and rhetoric), place and identity (the construction of community and belonging), political and media discourses of xenophobia (in particular the reproduction and legitimisation of prejudice towards Europe), and the management of public identities in high-profile televised interviews. She also serves as the course director for Lancaster University's Masters of Science program in Psychological Research Methods.
